Join us for this special retreat exclusively for members of our study group programs, past and present.
Revitalize and deepen your existing practices while receiving transmission and instruction in new lineage methods, in ways that are only possible in person.
Alongside rigorous practice, there will be an emphasis on celebration, ritual, and community, and an education on how to connect with the sublime qualities of the physical body, the subtle body, and nature itself. Immersed in this private residential setting, we will use the extended practice hours to dive deeply together into profound exploration and communal practice.
Guided by Michaela and Steve, we will tune to the unique qualities of the phases of day and night with sunrise and sunset practices, night vigils, stargazing, and fire pujas.
This is an opportunity to connect with those in your own year group, including dedicated time with Michaela for each group, as well as connecting with members of the wider international community.

We have never before offered such a direct retreat. There are limited places available, and registrations will be accepted in the order received.
This retreat is exclusively open to members of our study group programs, past and present. If you have participated in any year of the study groups, you may register without completing an application.
If you plan to combine this retreat with the 5-day immersion which follows it, please book your accommodation for both events as soon as possible to ensure you can stay in the same room throughout.

Monte da Orada is a family run, eco-sustainable, permaculture based retreat centre, nestled in 71ha of nature, providing elemental immersion and privacy.
Located at Portugal's Southwest Atlantic Coast, this isolated evergreen valley creates an abundant oasis where two creeks come together to nourish an ancient lush forest and wildlife vistas.
A rustic countryside home, Orada has all the essential commodities for you to be comfortable, but it’s still surrounded by nature, immersing you into the elements - clear water, abundant sunlight, green vibrant plant life, a fire pit and an amazing night sky.
The centre is known for its lovingly prepared locally sourced food, panoramic roof decks workshop rooms with spectacular views, hammocks for rest in between sessions and a bio pool.
We have exclusive use of the entire space during our stay, with access to
Biopool, Sauna, dining rooms and decks, Meditation Temple, panoramic terrace, natural amphitheater lounge and all 71 hectares of the ranch, hiking trails and creeks.
Accommodations
Orada offers different accommodation types from private suites and bungalows to tepees and cozy dorm rooms. The buildings and retreat facilities were reconstructed using traditional and organic adobe materials, giving this beautiful property not only an authentic Portuguese feel, but also providing a healthy and comfortable environment in all weather.

Travel to Orada
The closest airports to the retreat center are the Lisbon airport (220km) and Faro airport (160km).
Shared shuttles, buses, taxis and car rentals are all options for travel to and from the airports.

How is the price structured?
Tuition and accommodations are priced separately. Tuition is for the retreat instruction and accommodations cover your choice of room, meals, water, coffee, tea and use of the full property for your entire stay.
Who can attend?
Anyone that has participated in a Study Group at any time with Michaela, in-person or online. This event welcomes all genders, singles and couples, and all s3xual orientations.
If you are attending with a partner you have the option of participating only with each other in the paired exercises should you prefer to do so.
