The Intimacy Toolkit

An Online Self-Guided Instant Access Course

This is a course for couples to foster connection and deepen intimacy.

How do we relate during moments of change, stress, and uncertainty?

How do we connect with our chosen partner, whilst facing the challenges of a busy life?

How do we keep the spark alive and deepen intimacy while attending to the demands of a constantly changing landscape?

Intimacy and Connection are skills that can be learned and deepened over time. Stress, overwhelm and demanding circumstances tend to disconnect us from ourselves, and our partner, and gear our nervous system towards survival.

Short, intentional moments of reconnection and communication create a baseline of intimacy and connection, which in turn can support the nervous system regulation and deepen relationship.

In this Intimacy Toolkit, we have collected some of our most effective practices for connection, communication, and intimacy.  Keeping busy lives and time constraints in mind, each practice is created to fit easily into your day or evening.

Toolkits are designed to give you short yet effective guided practices, which you can easily fit into a busy day, giving you both immediate access to intimacy tools as well as supporting you with establishing new habits for powerful relating.

In addition to the guided practices you will receive information to support your understanding of the underpinnings of these practices, which will allow you to incorporate the principles into every aspect of your life.

In this online toolkit, you will receive instant access to:

Five of our most effective practices for creating and deepening intimacy and connection.

Creating Intimacy and Deep Connection

Intimacy, though mostly understood as the close connection between partners, begins with being connected to ourselves, the sensations of our body and emotions moving through us. Before we can become truly intimate with another, we must learn to listen to sensations and emotions and translate those signals into responsive action.

The first step in any human interaction is the ability to focus one’s attention and become intimate with oneself. This includes the kind of bodily feeling and awareness that allows us to feel another. Intimacy with the present moment allows for real comprehension and connection.

The bad news is that this kind of connection with one’s experience is rare in today’s world. The good news is that these are skills that can be learned.

Attention can be cultivated and the body can be sensitized to feel and connect intimately with oneself and another. For this to happen we engage with the body as a means to sensitize and bring the entire body “online”. The more online the body, the more availability and power there is for any relational engagement. Intimacy like this is not relegated to only intimate partners, but can be cultivated with any being regardless if they are our partner or not.
